The MAX IV Laboratory is a national laboratory located in Lund. The facility supports three research areas: accelerator physics, research using synchrotron radiation and nuclear physics using high-energy electrons.
The European Spallation Source (ESS) will be a multi-disciplinary research centre based on the world's most powerful neutron source. Researchers will be able to study a variety of materials, including plastic, proteins, motors and molecules, fossils and fuel cells, and thereby understand how they are structured and work.
